Blizzard's Diablo 2 Resurrected saw the first balance of classes in over 12 years while also selling an excess of five million copies. the first Overwatch 2 beta featuring new hero Sojourn was released on the 26th of April, finally giving avid fans of that FPS gaming experience something exciting to sink down their fingers into.

Following in March's footsteps, May was also a relatively tranquil month. As the hype grew for Diablo Immortal, but it also fell away for the widely-rumoured Marvel MMORPG, which was swiftly and quietly canceled.
