The majority of the gold wow classic first Blizzard left Blizzard to precisely the exact same reason everyone leaves match firms: burnout. Activision bought Blizzard in 2008 so by 2013-18 those Blizzard higher-ups who had been there since the 90s were rolling in cash and did not need to put up with all the grind any more.
The separation does make sense if you think of it as separating the people who made Blizzard great from the people who have made Blizzard shit. That is why folks blame Activision, that they create that distinction. It is separating the Blizzard they knew and loved in the Blizzard that's gone to shit. The Blizzard within their memory deserves respect. Once upon a time, they had been a force for greatness in the USA game development scene. It's still a heritage even though it does not make sense to anyone who didn't live through it.
And when your only argument is that,"Well, Blizzard and Activision would be the exact same thing today, so why make the distinction?" Then my answer is, even if they are the exact same thing, why does it matter? By calling out Blizzard, you are calling out Activision what's the point? All you are doing is senselessly putting people down and insulting their memories and experiences.
People today behave like"the actual Blizzard" is still in there, like a mind-controlled character in a Saturday morning animation, fighting for hands against their evil master Activision. If we stick with them a little longer as though they will snap out of it and they will return to being our buddy. This"Blizzard" is mywowgold lifeless and individuals need to realize that the people/culture they enjoyed are long gone. This false distinction only gives cover bad practices by appealing to that (justified but unhelpful) nostalgia.
