    As each day passes is more likely that we'll end up D2R Items receiving an important Diablo 4 announcement. Also, given that The Game Awards is now only three days away, the announcement could just be announced at the show. Although there's not been any officially confirmed information from Blizzard However, numerous sources appear to be very confident regarding this.

    In the words of Insider Gaming, "this is continuing to be the case, and over 100 journalists will have the chance to experience the behind-the-scenes show as well as getting the opportunity to try out the game. It's believed that the embargo for the game and hands-on demonstrations will be lifted on the 7th of December.

    "During the ceremony, Rod Fergusson invited all presenters to view The Game Awards as they'll be [making] some announcements."

    Blizzard has confirmed that Diablo 4 is still getting Set Items, though you'll likely have to wait until after launch to utilize them in game.

    Game director Joe Shely explains during a recent roundtable that reimagining sets in a way which is suitable for Diablo 4 properly wouldn't be feasible for the launch of Diablo 4 in the first quarter of next year, although the team is contemplating making them part of Live service.

    "As we've been building the game, it seemed that we could develop sets in a new method that was different from what we've seen within Diablo 3. However, we'd like more time to get them in a way that would fit in with the rest of Diablo 4, so you won't find them in the initial launch within the game." Shely explains. "We consider sets to be cool, and we want to make them look cheap diablo 2 resurrected items good - so that's something we're looking at for our live service."
