From January 22 participants will be eligible to join a new raid called Battle of Dazar'alor. The raid will arrive alongside the start in Season 2 of PvP and Mythic Keystone Dungeons.

World of Warcraft film begins filming in 2014

The upcoming World of Warcraft feature film will begin filming in the first quarter of next year, producer Charles Roven has told SlashFilm.

"First quarter 2014 , we're scheduled to shoot the film," Roven said. "We're going forward, obviously Legendary is making the film and I'm having a wonderful time working with director Duncan Jones]."

The script written by Blood Diamond and K-PAX scribe Charles Leavitt-- is being kept "under cover." A report from the past estimated the budget for the film at "north 100 million dollars."

The World of Warcraft film has not been without controversy. Spider-Man director Sam Raimi - who was at one point pegged to direct the film--claimed during March of this year that Blizzard T.A.N. had a problem with the film.

Chief creative officer of the gaming company World of Warcraft fired back in response, saying, "I don't want to cause controversy, but there are two sides to any story. ..."

World of Warcraft the game was home to 8.3 million players at time of the end of March. The most recent expansion was Mists of Pandaria, which launched in September.

Blizzard: World of Warcraft isn't going to be pay-to-win

World of Warcraft has more microtransactions available within the game than before (and it's possible that many more are coming in the near future) But the game isn't advancing into the direction of becoming pay-to-winas the creative director Alex Afrasiabi says.

"That is not a option we're comfortable taking in WoW," Afrasiabi told P2Pah buy WOW WOTLK Classic Gold during a recent preview of the forthcoming expansion Warlords of Draenor.
