The couple hosted a married relationship weekend over the 2nd, 3rd and 4th of July at Charis's home in Herefordshire, benefiting from its gorgeous grounds and space. Both groom and bride were keen to make a classic but modern and sustainable day using a touch of city slick to reflect their London home, adding lots of personal details to produce the celebration unique on their behalf. Before we share this beautiful day, we invite one to enjoy this exquisite film, produced by a master filmmaker, Philip White.
The wedding film was by Philip White Weddings. "He is talented – we cried each one in the videos within the portfolio, even though we didn't be familiar with people. He am great at that time, even giving my dad a bit from the pep talk. The finished film is unbelievable, as being a movie trailer – so epic and true to your entire day." Charis explained the ethos that was distributed to her wedding decisions and styling choices. "We are extremely traditional and liked the idea of a classic day but modernised. The main thing is always that we wanted every element in the day to feel special across all the senses, timeless and smart, using a hint of fashion."
Day One: Pronovias Tuxedo
With a three-day wedding, your beloved partner was sufficiently fortunate to get choose four sensational outfits. "I love fashion so I knew I wanted several looks; one dramatic, traditional dress; an electric suit/ jumpsuit appeared to be a must; plus more fun, festival-style Sunday dress. I loved changing my makeup, hair, jewellery and accessories to select each look."
On Friday, the very first day of the couple's wedding weekend, the pair were built with a church ceremony inside the thirteenth-century church next to the home. "For the church ceremony and rehearsal dinner, I wore a caped, ivory Pronovias tuxedo suit utilizing their Bond Street store. I wore The Bobby Pin's cool and modern stars and moon clips."
Day Two: FeelTimes
For the marriage blessing on day two, ceremony, Charis wore a regular gown and French lace veil, both from FeelTimes.
"To walk around the aisle and for your drinks reception, I went for just about any very classic, show-stopping and easy, simple wedding dresses. I knew it absolutely was my dress immediately and my sister even picked it with no hints when I took her to the store."
"Very traditionally, I wore the veil over my face as I made my way around the aisle. It will be a last-minute decision because I hadn't been keen round the origins in the father in the bride presenting your beloved partner to her husband just like a possession, but I loved the drama and mystery from this."
The bridesmaids were elegant in ivory Ghost 'Salma' dresses, with pearl The Bobby Pin hairpins inside their hair. "We were looking for your same colour in a variety of styles but in the end, all five bridesmaids chose Salma. We loved that it was worn having a James Bond girl in 'Spectre'! We gifted our bridesmaids Christian Dior pearl earrings using a gold 'CD' inside it (also for Charis and Dan)."
The groom wore a morning suit and waistcoat from Favourbrook with soft green highlights. "He wore an eco-friendly Hermès tie I gifted him a few years before and now we focused on details like his new initials embroidered round the shirt, beautiful gold and green enamel cufflinks plus a jade tie pin. I gifted him a Jaeger-LeCoultre watch that I knew he loved."
Words of Wedded Wisdom
"At the end of the day, lots of details and changes don't matter. A wedding should help bring the two of you together ready for that married life so benefit in the engagement and planning. It's this kind of happy but short time inside the grand scheme from the lives together."
"We felt everything went so quickly and were thrilled to have held the wedding over 72 hours. We ensured to regularly step back and take it in. We enjoyed the run-up to the wedding too, knowing how lucky I had been and spending the once in the lifetime period with good family and friends. Enjoy it and don't get caught up inside the stress and pressure.“
The run-up to the wedding was this kind of special time because we and our wedding party could stick with my family for the weeks(s) up to the big day, which elongated the happiness and memories.
