I think the only two times where I found myself stomped was once against a barb who almost killed me with 1 swing of an axe he geniuenly left me around 5% with 1 hit Dark And Darker Gold.
And the other one being a wizard whos cast speed / number of spells was through the roof. I think I took 5 fireballs before dying without being able to do anything. It was impossible for me to get away from him due to my gear weight + his casting speed and the unfortunate location we met at.
That being said with a cleric at my side - I have turtled up against everything and just walked them down until someone makes a mistake and win fights where I'd be at a distadvantage.
In summary the tank build works a lot better when playing as a team. Any dps build on fighters falls short as soon as you run into any geared players - if you want raw damage go barb, if you want to harass / bully go archer with a spear. In HR you're basically a loot bag.
I'm all for leaderboards that are not just a "who can grind the most hours" type of thing. As such, every leaderboard in the playtest was exactly that with one exception.
The "Veteran Adventurer" leaderboard gave you a score based on many different things during your dungeon run (looting, PvE, PvP), but it would only grant you points if you survive the run, and it would even subtract points from your leaderboard score if you die. Essentially, simply grinding the most hours isn't enough to rank high on that leaderboard cheap Dark And Darker Gold, since you will get negative points if you die, you will also have to play well.
