If folks are time-traveling to an event which hasn't released then yes there should be spoiler tags. The best instance of this was the Animal Crossing Items Halloween update when people kept posting screenshots of the carriage they time traveled for. Like I am fine with seeing someone post bunny afternoon screenshots right now, because that event released last year so we already know what the items are. But if they include, IDK, an arbor day event with fresh items that people TT to, I'd like if they spoiler indicate their posts so I can decide whether I want to see the articles or not. Some people do want to find spoilersothers do not. As long as people can choose whether they want to view it, I do not think there will be any issues.
Thank you for the comments. The main thing with megathreads is we have already got two running in a time (two stickies is the limitation on Reddit): Straightforward codes and questions. Those are two things that bring a whole lot of clutter, and there's a maximum of two slots that are tacky. Throughout the time something else is taking that slot machine, the questions or code thread for example, would not be observable and it'd get very little usage.
A directory thread could work, but honestly, in my opinion with a huge list of megathreads is a bit messy/unintuitive.
Another matter with megathreads that rely on images, there is no way to view images at this moment, so the consumer would need to upload the pictures offsite themselves and place it. Which can be a massive hassle.
Can questions and codes be united? Folks already place their codes from the questions thread regardless of the rules anyway. Or create the codes thread its own daily/weekly scheduled article with the other ones and keep the questions ribbon. I feel those threads are nice and all, although the simple fact that they take precedence over important news or events is weird.
I mean it is your selection. Do you want to have more rules and to need to monitor the subreddit more? Or do you need to leave it as is and continue to risk that the hostility in the comments on the buy Animal Crossing New Horizons Items more controversial posts such as the museum + edited pics articles, which would also need to be monitored more?
