We've really attempted to design the system in a manner that makes it clear that the choice you make is important and that your character is different from everyone other character, however you're given a lot of freedom to test things out.

"You've been given the option to change the spec of a point by point. It's easy to stop spending a point and use it for another thing however, as you progress further into levels, the cost increases to make decisions a bit more thought-provoking. Of course, you could also revise your entire tree in one go if you would like to build from the beginning."

Fergusson said that as players progress and more deeply into their character "the game's currency cost to respect increases and eventually you'll reach the point at which you're at level 90 Barbarian but instead of completely altering my character, it's best to roll a new Barbarian and begin again."

Diablo Immortal will soon receive its second major update on December 14th. The update, called Terror's Tide, brings tons of new content to the game, including the first post-launch zone called Stormpoint. The zone will introduce an entirely new primary quest as well as bosses, monsters and other characters to Diablo Immortal.
