For the first time in a very long time players will head into WoTLK Gold the final battle of an expansion with no idea of what's to come regarding specific bosses and the way in which the story will unfold. "People haven't seen the mechanics The mechanics aren't known, and people don't know the story," Dawson said when asking if the ending of the current Sepulcher of the First Ones raid could give players a solid idea of what next expansion will be. "They don't know what's about to occur. It's an interesting moment. In the future, we're always looking to improve things. We're focussed on the final chapter of the story and providing satisfaction with the Jiler."

While a significant portion of the coming raid was combed, datamined through, and playtested with the WoW community using the game's test realm The players will be fully green for the raid's three final bosses.

"They don't have been on the PTR yet, and there's no bunch of mods written for it, or any strategies recorded yet," Dawson said. "People aren't quite sure of what they'll experience. There's adventure and exploration in store for the final day of this mission."

To add to the feeling of mystery is that players will need to wait another week to face the Jailer. The raid will begin to open in March (a week following 9.2's release on 22 February) The final three bosses won't be released until March 8. That means it'll be some time before players are able to learn the end of the story as well as the fate of characters like The Jailer as well as Sylvanas both of the main characters of Shadowlands who have divided many in the game's community.

This is a story that is, in general, hasn't been a huge hit by a large number of fans. The Jailer, the expansion's main villain, has been linked retroactively to vast expanses of World of Warcraft lore dating all the way to World of Warcraft.
