Pfeiffer cites the popularity of RuneScape Gold Melvor Idle as proof of how the talent that is available can be found in any game's community as Jagex is already recognizing. "We've always discovered it to be the RuneScape group to be an excellent source of talent for Jagex, not just as game designers but for all the other positions within a studio for games," he says. "RuneScape has more than 300 million accounts created in over 20 years. So the number of skilled players that have played the game is massive."
After the success of the partnership together with Games By Malcs, Pfeiffer states that he's interested in working more collaboration with indie developers around the globe if they're creating project that "align with RuneScape's design philosophy and Jagex's core values" And he hopes Melvor Idle's success will encourage more independent developers to reach out to Jagex Studios.
With the version 1.0 of Melvor Idle, it is now available. Games By Malcs and Jagex are working on new content, as well as more potential titles set in the Melvor universe. Malcolm remains grateful to Jagex for its constant support, especially when it involves introducing new players.
"They are also great at ensuring that the Melvor Idle can reach more people than I've be able to do on my own including players in the RuneScape community and outside of it," He says. "With the full release out today, I'm looking forward meeting with Jagex in both making Melvor Idle a greater hit, and on the next projects."
