What is your SSD size?

You must get an SSD enclosure that matches the physical dimensions of the drive. If you have a 2.5-inch hard drive or SSD, buy a 2.5-inch SATA case. For a 3.5-inch drive, you'll need a 3.5-inch SATA drive enclosure.

M.2 SSDs require an M.2 chassis, but if your SSD is shorter than the standard 2280 (80mm size), be careful: most (but not all) cases have shorter-sized mounting screws.
